Earn your at bats

SU has seen enough of the Yankees this year. You can say it’s still early (it is) but SU knew this at the start of spring training. Players need to perform to stay in the line-up.

  1. Aaron Hicks – totally different hitter right-handed. Hits to all fields. Left-handed, he pulls everything into the shift. SU says platoon him in center field with Gardner. Makes total sense. Done
  2. Clint Frazier – already struggling. Tauchman deserves some at bats. He puts the ball in play. Obvious move.
  3. Jay Bruce – done with him. All or nothing hitter and teams put 4 guys in the outfield. Still won’t hit to left field. Don’t need him.
  4. Odor – no clue why they got him. None. But he is left handed and we all know the all right handed lineup is dumb. Worth a shot.

Bottom line: Yankees are painfully boring. On pre- game show today, all the talk was take pitches and be patient. Not seeing it so far. At all. And yes, I know it’s still early. And won’t cut it in October. Am I wrong?

  1. Switched over to Yankees game during the Mets rain delay. You are 100% correct. The Yankees and their announcers are painfully boring. We welcome you to take the 7 train and head over to Citi Field. Might as well hop on the band wagon early. You’ll look good in orange and blue!
    LGM!

  2. Won’t even give an opinion until May 1st….but I can’t blame your frustration. I will say this. If the Yanks tank and don’t make it to the playoffs I wonder during the year whether our analytical manager changes his demeanor during the year and maybe light a fuse under some of the player’s butts.
