Let the Lance Lynn Era begin. SU predicts this will last for one start. Lynn will get rocked and Gray will come in and will pitch lights out. You just know it and then you are back to square one. OR with Happ on the DL with his disease, both Lynn and Gray will be in the rotation.
When you stack up this rotation against Houston or Cleveland, it doesn’t give you the warm fuzzies. As Joe Girardi likes to say, “It’s not what you want.” Nope.
So who pitches on Saturday?
Cessa
Lynn and Gray are interchangeable. One year apart, they are examples of Cashman saying he’s all-in to win now but the moves are not as bold as the story. This isn’t such a bad thing. You don’t want to sacrifice the future. It’s just that a slight upgrade to your fifth starter isn’t likely to be the difference maker in a pennant race.
Stop babying Sheffield and bring him up. How fragile can he be? They coddle way too much.

I am sitting in Fenway Park enduring endless chants of “Yankees suck” only to discover my wife and sister are enthusiastically joining in. As the 4th inning and Jonathan Holder continue for what seems like an hour, I have now begun the chant myself. 600 bucks well spent!
My brother in law just started the we want rain chant.
