How quickly the narrative changes- rewind back to last August and everyone was saying the same things about Gary Sanchez
Or this March, when everyone was saying the same things about Greg Bird.
Is it OK for me to love this and also hope he doesn’t do any more of it? He’s been great to watch and plays the game in a way that is fun and respectful. He’s said all the right things. But the media stuff can get out of control very fast. I hope he has a good group of friends and teammates to keep things under control. Maybe they can sit down with him and some newspaper clippings about Matt Harvey c.2013. Harvey was the talk of the town with back page stories and photoshoots and so on. There are many cautionary tales in baseball but Harvey’s is one that’s playing out in real time right now. Judge should pay attention and listen to the guy in the video who suggested that he keep doing whatever he’s been doing.
