You can’t make this stuff up. Giancarlo Stanton may not be ready for opening day – in fact, unlikely – as he strained his calf muscle doing defensive drills before yesterday’s game. SU is off the Stanton bandwagon. I enjoyed my 48 hours on it – there were cushioned seats and free popcorn. But he is just another over-muscled player who has career DH written all over him.
Fine by me. Put Tauchman out there and give Miguel Andujar a shot in the outfield.
Note to Yankees’ Strength and Conditioning Staff: remember to stretch.
You had a typo there- I think you mean career DL.
What a surprise, Stanton is injured. And would you believe Paxton is also? What are the odds on that happening? 70-30 ….in favor. Here’s a thought. Instead of listening to the media buffoons constantly crying for more free agents, how about sticking with your farm system, and acquiring young cheap talent like Trauchtman, Urshela, Mike King and Frazier.
He is a tightly put together human being. Oh well. I wonder what his medical history was before he joined the Yanks.
Looks like we will see what our youth looks like on the mound to start the game soo er than we thought. It will be interesting. Too bad as I was looking forward to a regular season record of 150-12. I guess I’ll have to pull it back a bit. Let’s go with 104-58 Anyone predicting better?
