It looks like there will room on the post-season roster for all comers. Apparently, Edwin Encarnacion, not an SU fave but a hot hitter, pulled his oblique today and will return to NY for tests. Well, we know that injury well (see Aaron Judge). He will be done for the year. Severino is back – starting Tuesday – and Stanton is hitting in Florida.
Sooooo, it feels like Urshela at 3rd, Voit at first and Stanton either DHing or in left field. Maybin will get to play now as well. I still don’t see Clint Frazier making the roster but Mike Ford would be a good addition and he is left-handed. The team’s record is very impressive considering the injuries.
I know he’s cooled off, but no LeMahieu?
Ah, true. Scratch that Mike Ford roster spot then. But it is amazing how many players have these muscular injuries – over and over again.
You can call the Yankees season as the Year of the Replacements
Yankees reveal that Encarnacion sustained his oblique injury while raising his arm to carry the parrot on his home run trot- training staff is working on a modified position or finding a lighter bird.
